We received a batch of these modified FLEX pipes from the Swiss Military. Apparently the Swiss Military felt that if they installed a flex on the pipe it was less likely to crack the manifold. We are not completely convinced this is the case as our opinion is that as long as the slip joints are not rusted solid, you shouldn't have a problem. However, we are offering this Swiss solution.
