Don't be fooled by the aftermarket points available at the local auto parts store. These units are not designed to be used with the adjusting concentric on both the Unimog and Pinzgauer. In addition you probably want to consider purchasing a condensor to replace at the same time as the points. An alternative to the regular maintenance and replacement of the points and condensor is the maintenance free Pertronix Ignitor electronic points system.
The stock setting for the contact points is .4mm or (.016" for those without a metric feeler gauge) These are rapidly becoming rare as Bosch has discontinued manufacture, and MB shows no more stock.
